First deer of this season ready to be picked up and it was a beautiful buck to work on! C8952E52-C6FF-4106-9BE5-AC298D1C6DDB.jpeg 98A15958-C6DD-404A-AC2E-0CAD86087DEE.jpeg 667AA648-C263-4A37-8EA5-33185248A2A8.jpeg

    Luke, great stuff.

I hear you about that blizzard, spent Sunday clearing snow after it finally quit blowing.

Cold now, but on the up side, the garage converts into a walk-in freezer for the next few months.

  8. Cant wait until tomorrow with the possibility of -55 below wind chills when the wind kicks up!! Gross! Of course more snow in the forecast. Thawing an elk hide out to get going on it now. Nice to be a little ahead of schedule being I have been home more than usual on the weekends. Snow 1.jpg Snow 2.jpg Enough Snow already!!

I am a minority in the regard that I like straight upright mounts. I have seen deer in this pose many hundreds of times in the wild.

20221222_164138.jpg super Illinois bow kill I remounted for a Christmas present. The original mount was very poor quality at best . This is mounted on Gene Smith new pedestal.

Tommy, No matter how it looked before, I'd say you did that buck justice. Looks great.
