Cast take a skull from different sizes males/females
epoxy sculpt the muscle features back
    reference and measurements A MUST
I know you are aware but for new artist starting out
if you get a whole mammal in you literally
have everything you need ,take the new 14 out
and take some great reference pics with a tape and calipers
hope I never lose my phone some pretty weird pictures on it
I can here the screaming from here
I don't do that for everyone just use the heads on hand
I can pour 5 sizes of raccoon heads in 5 minutes in 4lb foam

Nothing like a studio full of grizzlies, but I guess I gotta start somewhere. Can only do so many mounts for myself, so it's time to bring in a bit more customer work.
So here's my very first display set up at our local Game and Fish banquet.

Got a few antler mounts and a bear skull to clean out of the evening.

    Wa,
That's as close as I'll come to mounting a bird for now .

I'd rather carve them from wood. I see the great bird work on here and know I just couldn't do the creatures justice with crappy practice mounts.
I'll try to stay in my lane, learning curve is steep enough over in this section! I know there is no way my mammals will ever look like yours if I'm all over the map.
That said, if someone wants a turkey fan mount, there's worse things to have to do for money.

WA ! Your mounts are so real ! Just wondering what you use to tan your coons and how you degrease them so well ? Those hides look like they went through a dry cleaner solution.
