Potassium Permanganate

    I received some today from JHT alongside my tanning supply order, While I will not be using it right now what Is the general advice I should take with it?

    Thick gloves.
    Outside
    Apron(?) Spare clothes?

    Disposal?

    I know whatever I do avoid it getting onto my skin 100%

    Yes, or you become the Purple People Eater in short order .. for a long time.

    I have a large jar of it in the kitchen cabinet. It's fine and not dangerous if handled intelligently. I also use it as a treatment for a fish pond. I use it on antlers inside where the coffee is. No gloves if you are careful but you can wear them if you want. It is caustic. Save a small, glass baby food jar to mix it in. The stuff is pretty safe ... EXCEPT! Do not EVER allow this to come in contact with glycerin! House/shop goes POOF and you are in the market for a new home. Chances of it happening by accident aren't good but if you have kids around, especially those with internet access, best keep it locked up.
