Iso Blacktail Cape

    Major slippage! Trying to locate a decent California blacktail buck cape. This one had 17-18" neck and big antler bases. Any leads will be appreciated. Thanks all!

    Central, Napa/Sanoma. Short fur, crazy rack, big bases. 5" circumference pedicles

    12 year old girls first buck. She has no idea what she harvested. Once in a lifetime deer for around here. Her dad's jealous!

    Same group of guys consistently bring me bucks to mount yearly, I think they roll them up with the armpits warm. Several times I've tried to get them to cool them before rolling. Seems I get one like this from these guys often

    A zone CA can be very hot hunting
    Commonly over 100 degrees. Those days can spoil a hide fast, especially if not prepped and cooled quickly

    I have a mediocre blacktail cape but it’s only 15” max. Also has a nasty split ear.
