Overall I've heard that foxes are nasty with bacteria and ideally should be skinned and frozen when possible has anyone skinned one that's been sat over night / or possibly a day? Over the next upcoming days Its supposed to be below freezing a good 80% of the day/night with no rain, Does anyone know how long the capes will be viable for for tanning?

Ideal situation is I can skin one that was shot the Friday, as I'm there on Saturday but I obviously cant guarantee my friend shoot ones or even goes out that night.

Friday rain does not start until 10PM & carcasses are put under the shed protected from the elements.

There is no answer on this but one. Skin asap as nobody knows for sure if it’s ok or not. I’ve seen them slip asap and two days later never an issue. It’s a gamble if you wait plus I always use stop rot especially on the face .
