   I am tanning an otter for a wall hanger and am working on breaking the hide. It feels very thick still even after thinning it on my fleshing machine and breaking the hide. I've decreased and tumbled but can't seem to get it soft.
   
   Any advice on what else to try?

   If it’s still thick, then it’s not shaved properly.
