Wondering if anyone has did the neck mounted pheasants? They seemed like a common vintage mount here in the UK but fell out of fashion so there's no professional mounted ones, I've seen ones with the tail & feet Included as well

I believe at least over in the US while the neck Isn't included since they need to be freeze dried / replicas I believe its common enough to have the tail/wing/feet and skull displayed on a plaque? I'm just looking for ideas I can do on my own bird that I had to skin due to no freezer space.

Before I started doing taxidermy I took a ringneck to a taxidermist to do a flying mount. He said the bird was to damaged to mount flying so he did one of these. Mine looks quite a bit better than these two.

Got any pictures off it? I had to skin out a cock bird I shot a few nights ago and my only option is salting it so I figured something like this may not be a half bad idea.

(or If I plan to do this, I can freeze it and dry the tail)

I do most of my personal ones similarly, however better quality and usually, but not always, with the tail.
