What's the skinny on humming birds? I found a fresh dead one in the back seat of my tarp covered RZR Dunn buggy. I think the little fella must have got trapped in under the cover and could not find it's way out. I put it in a zip lock and in the freezer for now. is this a bird I can keep or give to someone that needs it?
    Thanks every body.

Bury it with a shovel, then bury the shovel. It is illegal to possess or mount song birds in the US. Additionally, it may have died from Avian Flu, which is contagious to humans

Dont know anything about hummingbirds other than they don’t sing songs so I wouldn’t consider them a song bird but what do I know . I do know catching Avian flu from the bird itself really sucks … a buddy and myself got it from Honkers we killed one day and both of us were sick as hell day after .. Almost as bad as when I had Covid-19 … Worst flu I’ve ever had , one I won’t ever forget … Dr told my buddy that it was highly likely we got it from the birds .. cus the flu wasn’t going around at the time we got it …bout killed my buddy ..was in hospital for a week ..
