I recently got in a good number of salted bird skins. All of them are difficult to get in the USA, so i want to mount all of them. the basic information I'm getting is as follows....and it was like pulling teeth to get even the basic method to do this,,,,,I need specifics if anyone has experience with this.
I was told to soak in dawn and a bacterial enzyme. Freeze it flat and then clean it on my bird flesher numerous times. I was also told to learn and use as many cuss words as possible, so I get this must not be easy.
How much enzyme is used and is it mixed in with the soap to soak? Which enzyme is the best to use? When I freeze it and soak it, do I then flesh it and refreeze? Any info is greatly appreciated. I did look on youtube but found nothing

I thawed a duck skin that was ready to mount in Dawn once and during the sewing the stitches ripped right out. May not have been the soap but I think it was. My skin was not salted prior to the soak.
