Degreasing a fox skull. It's been 3 weeks in 120 degree dawn/h20. Absolutely no floaters or discoloration in the water, ever. Incredibly clean after macerating. Is this discoloration grease that is still inside or just bone color? Doesn't seem like I'm getting anything else out of it.

I've done a couple fox skulls and they didn't seem very greasy after maceration. I'd say whiten it and let it dry and see.

Do you have a picture you can share?

I guess I didn't check if the pictures were there, lol. I've never seen one not float up some fatty chunks at all. Was thinking of giving it another week to see if anything changes

Have you tried ammonia? If not I'd suggest getting the highest percentage ammonia you can get, mix with water and heat to 115-120.
I'm sure others will have suggestions as well.

I have not, also read acetone I think. Seems pretty thin and delicate in certain areas

Not grease but tissue and old blood. Soaking in peroxide should get rid of that. Soak in strong peroxide for 24 hrs and dry. The reason you are seeing that is mostly because it is wet. If you can find a wire thin enough, hook the end of it and see if you can fish it into the hollow area of the lower jaw and drag out anything left in there. Peroxide will dissolve the rest of it.
