Housecat Form

Discussion in 'Lifesize Mammals' started by elkhunter1313, Apr 22, 2023.

  1. A customer is wanting me to make them a popular "housecat" character from a movie and i think Bobcat forms would be way too big...anyone know or have a line on some smaller forms that would work for a housecat?

I know one company makes some kitten forms. It is either Research Mannikins or McKenzie.

A friend of mine who is a real biker once told me there are bikers and then there are people who just ride bikes, join clubs with names like "Bikers for Christ" and pretend they are bikers. Like the pretenders who haul their bikes to Sturgis, unload there, wear the leathers and play the role. Can't fix any or many mechanical problems, but like to rub elbows with those who can.
And there are people who are taxidermists and people who just do shake and bake taxidermy. Which one are you?

  7. When it comes to your home furnace. There's guy that can build one from the ground up and tell you how the whole system works . Fuel, combustion ,motors, temperature, blow air and duct work properly sized . Then the guys that can only replace a part on it and if it don't work just replace the whole thing .
I always thought everyone had a copy of Gary zehners measurement sheets or forest harts. The answer is there all you gotta do is match it .

Freeze the skinned body in the pose and then try to replicate it by carving or casting or wrapping, or altering, or anything else. For the head I clean the skull and rebuild with clay, then mold and cast it.
This one is wrapped, casted skull, and home-made eyes. Wish I had pics of the process. It's just replacing what you took out, you can do it.
