Beautiful Gaddy Brooke. Do you limit your poses for your birds or are these just popular with your customers?

No, I'll mount them however they ask....but if it's a pose I don't like to do, I just won't post it. My Facebook business page provides 95% of my clients and they seem to always show me a picture of one I've mounted with "do it like this". I've got about 10 birds in the showroom too, and they're all in poses I like doing. So if it's some extreme or crazy pose that takes me more time, I'll do it...but no one else is gonna see it. :)

Nice ringer and beautiful mount Brooke. Not often you see a full set of mature pocket feathers.

I have seen them in that exact pose. It was about 5 seconds after I jellied there heads. I have had 3 that did areal acrobatics like that. The rest liked to flop low to the ground.

Did that bird have lots of pinfeathers? Odd coloration on wings and back near tail.

Not a one. It was very small for a Wigeon..I'm guessing a first year bird.

I've never done a bird mount before- are they always pieced together like this, tails, wings separate, etc? It's beautiful

I don't know. All the upland birds I do, are not in pieces. Just the turkeys. I think some do geese and swans in pieces, but I have never done waterfowl.
