I have this squirrel that is standing up. Her front feet are up off the ground and I'm wondering what color would be best to paint the pads. Flesh didn't seem to look correct. Any suggestions?

Hmmm….without reference pic or testing my theory, I’m thinking maybe some burnt umber over the flesh. I think I have done that on squirrel in the past.

squirrel pads vary in coloration from a light fleshy look to a dark pad. i know it doesnt help much but maybe John Belluci aka lord rusty will jump in here. he is the squirrel guru :)

Hey Wally Gator! Thanks for the suggestion.
Are you going to the S.C.A.T. show this year? If you are, I'll see you there!

I think Wally is correct a mist of brown will tone down the brightness of the flesh color. I do that in my deer ears

I hear and answer ... takes a while, but here you go ...

Forepaws holding food. Hard to see pads, but the colors are the same as the others.

Here you can get a partial view of the pads of the forepaw. It's mostly to show the mouth arrangement of the lips around the teeth and nose detail, but my first pet Squirrel - 'Peaches' - held her little hand up!
