I enjoy the above/below ice (acrylic) scenes. Having a tip up above the ice with fish below... maybe have a minnow on the hook as well for any fish below the "ice". That wouild make a very unique wall mount!

If you can wait until next week I am doing one for a customer and plan on taking pics of the process step by step and posting them in the fish section and/ or habitat section. The hold up is I am still waiting for the local glass company to finish the glass case. This one will have a tip up in a hole with a 3 1/2 pound largemouth laying on the ice. Unlike the last few I have done I plan on putting the ice etc. (white crushed foam mixed with clear silicone caulking) on a top of a piece of Plexiglas (Plexiglas over the entire base which is painted black underneath to add depth) an leaving areas of black ice for more realism. Stay tuned if you're interested.

I think ladyarcher's idea would be neat but above the ice have some perch or bluegill laying on the ice after they have been caught here's the best pic of one I found on the internet.........
  10. I still love that bucket of perch. That is one of the best examples of reproduction artwork I have ever seen.
  11. Yea the bucket of fish get my vote.

    I thought it WAS real!
My husband also had the idea of having fish lying on top of the ice, combining both aspects (on and below the ice) would look great!

I'm still waiting to hear the glass cube had been constructed. No call yet. My nephew who works there says they are really busy. Sorry for the delay.

Two weeks now and they haven't started on the glass cube. ::) Hopefully next week. Sorry about the delay! It usually doesn't take this long! I guess they're busy.

As soon as I get the glass I will start on it and get the pics posted step by step!

Still no glass case! Customer is waiting! I guess I'll have to go back to my orignal builder as they were quicker although the drive is farther.

Hopefully next week I can get the case and take step by step pics! This one will have tip up in the hole and a close mouthed largemouth laying on the ice.
