tanneries - everybody contribute

    just for my own information i would like to know of tanneries that people are happy with all of the time - good turnaround - very few holes - etc. - dont care where its located just want to see if there are really satisfied customers


    oldshaver should be able to help out of this thread

    pete sweitzer - toledo, Illinois - unbelivable quality of finished product - truly mount as soon as you get it in mail - uncertain turnaround times

    Good thread Terry. I have 3 deep shelves full of elk hides & one moo cow hide that I'll be sending out. 2 bears too. I haven't chosen a tanner yet, but I have a list of ones I've seen recommended...I'll be very interested to see folks opinions. Thanks Terry.

    I have two------Moyle,in Heyburn,ID,and Quilceda in Marysville,WA. Good tanning,and turn-around
    is 3-4 months.

    Jerry Hammock in Kerrville. Doesnt blow out the ears, no holes, thin/even shave, good price and EXCELLENT turn around time. I know he is busy as heck but I still get my hides back within 6 weeks (at the longest). Over the summer I got a lot of exotics and he had them back to me in 30 days.

    Has anyone ever tried Microtan in IL? If so what were the pro's and con's.

    do a search on micro tan in the new and old archives and you'll have your answer

    you wont like it
