thaw out time

    how long does it take for a deer head thats been in the freezer for awhile that the head needs skinned out on to thaw out? thanks in advance

    It would depend on the temp in the room but start when the hide starts to thaw. They are easier to skin as they are thawing rather than waiting until completely thawed. Atleast I think so.

    waiting a day and a half for a room that isnt heated is normal you think?

    I don't know. How cold is this room? If it's not freezing it should be ready to skin by now. If not put it in a warmer room wait a couple hours and then get at it.

    Yes if not heated. I put mine in bucket in the house around 72 degees at noon or so the day before and it is ready to skin around 8am but the neck is still frozen I do it last like John.
