    If I may reword what you posted....

    Mallards will "R"ape anything ::)

    I wonder if all the wild Mallard_X_AnyDuck are analyzed then most will end up having Mallard fathers and no Mallard mothers. Mallard drakes are just unbelievably frisky as Tiger Woods.

    They have just about wiped out the pure Pacific Black Ducks of New Zealand and I believe in the next couple of decades our North American Black Ducks will also be hybridized by them completely.
  15. Jan-Feb 2006 there is a trio of pintail hybrids ...but not with mallards

    anyway that's a nice bird, a trophy for life ;)

    D- Shane did that one too!
  17. That is a nice looking bird. Blue Winged Teal are pretty frisky too, I have a BWT drake that is chasing around a wood duck hen right now and they act like a mated pair. Of course she is still getting raped by the other wood duck drakes in the pen so who knows if I will get any hybrids.

    You can bet that if you get a cross,we know who will get first choice.LOL
  19. I've got one like that in my pen now, (actually not exactly like that, he tore out a big clump of his breast feathers) I was going to put him down but when I caught him I saw he messes up his breast, so now I have to feed him a whole nother year.
