What do you use on white rams and goats?

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by Pirate, Feb 9, 2008.

  1. I have been getting in a lot of the white rams and goats from game farms. I was wondering what colors other people use to paint the soft pink fleshy areas. I have tried several different combinations of flesh, soft flesh, white, red and transparent bases. I'm close because I have never gotten any complaints. I'm a perfectionist and I just think it could be a little better. What do you think works best?

  4. Artist oil paints, you can get the soft look with them without the shine fromlacquers or acrylics.
  5. Maybe this will help this is a LIVE Texas Dall Ram.

  6. Rooster that is an awesome reference pic, thanks for that. How do you mix your paints to duplicate that exactely. I'm real close but i'm not happy with what I'm doing I think it can be a little better. I was just wanting to get ideas of what other mix together so I could try something different.
