I've got to do a grants gazelle laying down. Any suggestions for a form other than altering a lifesize to a laying down. Just wondering if there might be some "cross species" that I might use with less work.

    LOTS to choose from
    Use a medium whitetail.
A LOT less work sizeing it than laying down a standing form ;D
I cross species ALL the time.

  3. You will need to check the measurements but I would bet its close to a large Blackbuck.

I'll stay with the Whitetatail. Blackbuck legs not going to be heavy enough or long enough for the GRANTS. The neck on a med Whitetail will be about 20 ( C measurement), GRANTS I mount are about 19 to 20, some bigger. A balckbuck neck is going to be WAY to short.
Even the Med Whitetail you'll have to ad about 3 inches or more to the length.
Blackbuck for a GRANTS? Not the ones I've done , for a Thompson's Gazelle, yes, I'll buy that.
