I have a lynx skin from alaska that was dorsal skun all turned and salted/dried.it has been stored in cooler. it was from 1996 so it is 12 years old seems to be in good condition. I would like to do lifesize mount but dont know if I should try hydrating it and cream tanning it or send it out to be tanned.will it still take a tan ?where would be some of the best tanneries for cats.any help/advise would be greatlly appreciated.

wont know untill you try. I just tanned a 13 yr old lion hide that was salt dried, alittle grease burned, other than that, it turned out real good.
