Misplaced orange spot....."BROOK TROUT"

    I would be less critical of that spot than for those that put them several inches past the vent. Very few brook trout have the blue halo and red spot beyond the vent but I see a lot of brookies painted that way with some showing the spots all the way to the tail. However if I had that fish to paint I sure would have a picture to prove it was a natural spot. lol

    It will be as they are the judge might not even look at the picture until critique time.
     
  6. Never say never in the natural world. To many judges say things don't happen, this is just one example. Some are blinded by their own ambition. This is not an oddball fish its from a different area and sometimes even fish fromt he same area have different markings.
