Killing ticks

    I've heard freezing works, but honestly, I don't trust it (have had fleas "come back to life" once un-frozen on me after 1 day at a minimum of freezing). I'd use something like permethrin just to be sure.

    It takes a hard freeze to kill insects. One day in the freezer just provides them with a brief hibernation. A skin left in a freezer much over a week should be vermin free when thawed.

    If you freeze it you gotta freeze it for longer time. But it's worth a try!
