I have a mount I did last week that has several areas of hair that need to be smoothed out. Looks like the buck has bedhead in several areas. How do I groom the hair into place. The trouble areas are mainly with the long-haired areas on the side and top of the neck.

Try wetting a bit then use a good hair jell and card it down,it sometimes does the trick.

By wetting the hair,,,, means to set a wet rag on the unruley parts for a half hour, so the hair roots will soften up. Then use the hair gel and window screan to hold it for three or four days. Just wetting the top of the hair will go right back to the old position after you brush out the hair gel that got crusty.

a little spray of cheap hair spray then lay it flat and put a piece of blue masking tape over the area. let it sit for an hour then remove the tape and your "bed head" look will be gone.
