Well, it seemed the forum had been a little slow so I was gonna do a little step by step, (hopefully pick up a tip or two) on the hybrid I had cast it was a bleak, chilly rainy weekend, but alas. I was carrying the fish by the threaded rod to my bench downstairs, it fell off the rod somehow, and hit, I swear, every step on the way down and crashed on the cement floor below. I simply stood there and watched in horror. I'll have to repair it when I can. On a semi-related note, I mold with bondo/resin and cast with gelcoat/fiberglass filler, but I can't seem to get more than 5-6 good casts before the mold deteriorates, Is there some way to increase the longevity of these type molds? Thanks.
