Can you use a pressure washer on bears without tearing the hide. Thanks.

personally i wouldn't pressure wash anything. i would be more worried about bacteria than holes. but thats just me.

  3. Yes you can. It makes a white hide that soaks up nice. Contact Bob Lee at Surry Community College in NC and he can help you get started. He did a seminar this weekend with the pressure washer. There is a specialized tip that works nice.

I would turn the pressure down on fall bears. Scraping a fall bear to close with a fleshing knife will cause the hair to come through on the inside - if your pressure is to high you may end up with more hair on the inside of the hide than on the outside.
