REBEL , I'M NOT WONDERING WHY YOU ASKED. IT WAS A BOW KILL AT END OF OCT. SO I'M THINKING IT WOULD BE AROUND 65 lb. BUY THAT TIME . IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN 40 lb. . the base it sits on is 2' x 4 ' might give you an idea of the size.

my guess is 40 because this one was 40 and it is on the same form i was not being ugly i think it looks great i just mounted this one and have not finished it yet

What form is that? The nose looks a bit flat and stocky. I thought it was something done during the mounting process until I saw the second deer .. it looks just the same, so it's gotta be the form.

No offense to either of you .. both those deer are very nice! Sometimes we just can't rely on forms to be completely accurate. I mounted my first deer on an old Vandykes doe form and her nose turned out very flat too. Thought it was something I did wrong until I realized .. it was the form.

it a vd flexamove form and you are right the nose dose look flat a lot of it is the angle of the picture in person it looks normal

George The older I get, the better I was.

Amy, I thought exactly the same thing, but after my ongoing episode with Henry's bear, I laid off this one. That IS the old Van Dyke form and after Rebel said it, I knew it immediately. That thing should have been modified years ago. All those forms had bulldog noses on them.
