Degreasing??

Discussion in 'Skulls and Skeletons' started by Muskrat24, Aug 3, 2008.

  1. This is really the first time for me degreasing a skull and I was wondering if Dawn Plus bleach alternative would work? Thank you for your time.

  2. nope what ever u do don't use bleach or anything containing bleach as it affects the bone. but i use dawn and ammonia and it works great. or u can just use straight dawn. but no to the bleach.

Yes, it works fine. That "Bleach Alternative" is actually peroxide. :) Toss in some ammonia while you're at it too. I have 6 bottles of it now just for skull use. The blue version is for the dishes.

  4. Ok thanks I made sure my mom picked up the clear kind.

  5. stick with clear or orange I haven't had any problems with the orange kind though.

Yes the Dawn with Bleach alternative works JUST fine!!!!!!

Actually better than the regualr Dawn. Try to use the clear kind, but if you cannot find it, then any color will work. Just be careful it does not start turning your skulls colors.

I go to the Dollar Store, and get them for a $1 a bottle. Works great!!!
