The 2022 World Taxidermy & Fish Carving Championships® is shaping up to be our biggest show ever. Registrations are as affordable as any we have ever offered and our facility and hotel are the best we have ever offered.
Trade Show for Taxidermists. If you want to visit and see the largest industry trade show in the world for taxidermists, you are coming to the right place. The trade show offers 50 different vendors in 160 booths. There you will see everything this industry has to offer. Vendors offering the newest taxidermy forms, glass eyes, products, tools, fur dressers, tanneries, and just about every associated vendor for taxidermists will be there.
Seminars. We have a world-class line up of seminars and activities throughout the event and, of course, the most prestigious taxidermy and fish carving competition there is.
Over $40,000 in Cash and Awards. Taxidermists will be competing for $32,000 in cash awards and carvers for $2,000.
If you want to compete for the largest cash awards at the World Championships®, you should go after the Competitors’ Award, where $14,500 in cash will be awarded. You are automatically eligible if you enter four entries in either the Professional or Master Division. If you have four entries in both divisions, you must specify in which division you wish to compete for the Competitors’ Award. Please read the complete rules for this special award in our rules here.
Competition Levels for Everyone. There is a division of competition for every level of skill, and when you enter you will have the opportunity to be critiqued by the most talented and experienced taxidermists in their fields. You do not have to compete to be a part of this great show, but it sure brings on a sense of pride to tell everyone you did!
World Show Awards Banquet. We have a limited seating of 600 for this dinner and award ceremony and it sells out at every show. We recommend booking your banquet tickets when you register. Be there to witness $31,000 in cash awarded to winning taxidermists and fish carvers from all over the world! At the World Show Awards Presentations not only are all the cash awards given out and winners of World Titles named, but special talents from our industry will entertain you along with video 
clips from movies and TV, all using taxidermy as a main theme. We are very happy to announce the return of Russell Knight as our Master of Ceremonies for the 2022 award program. Russell is the star of the History Channel series “Mounted in Alaska,” and his quick wit and savvy will make for a very entertaining evening.
Banquet Seating: There will be ten seats to each table, each at $48.00. Children 12 and under are $15.00.We will place you at the first available table. You will not be able to choose the table, however, you CAN choose who sits with you — IF you buy those people’s seats when you buy yours. Your tickets will be all numbered to correspond with a table number and will be in your packet to give out. Lifetime Achievement Award. It is also our pleasure to announce that the seventh World Show Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to taxidermist, artist, and sculptor Wendy Christensen of Wisconsin. Wendy’s contributions to the taxidermy industry are many and far-reaching. Our award presentation will highlight her story.
Best All Around Competition for 2022. The Best All-Around Taxidermist award returns for the fifth time at this show. The Master division winner will receive $1,000 and the Professional winner will receive $1,000. Ohio Taxidermy Supply is generously donating the money for this award. HOST FACILITY!
THE UNIVERSITY PLAZA HOTEL is the host hotel for the 2022 World Taxidermy and Fish Carving Championships®. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Springfield and features free self-parking, and two free vouchers per room to a morning buffet breakfast. The hotel is the location of the seminar rooms and the Friday night banquet.
The beautiful and spacious Springfield Expo Center will be the location for the World Show competitions and the trade show exhibition. It is located directly across the street from the host hotel.

ATTRACTION! Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium
Just in case the World Show venue is not enough, one of the major reasons we elected to return to Springfield, Missouri, is the newly opened Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium. It has been voted the #1 best new attraction in America. Explore over 1.5 miles of immersive galleries that take you into the natural habitats of the animal kingdom. Get up close and personal with big game and other mammals in the Wildlife Galleries, and dive into the ocean world in the Aquarium Adventure.
Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Muse- um and Aquarium consists of an all-new 1.5-million-gallon aquarium adventure showcasing 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles and birds, and immer- sive wildlife galleries that bring visitors eye-to-eye with the greatest collection of record-setting game animals ever assembled. Located adjacent to Bass Pro Shops National Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, the 350,000-square foot experience celebrates people who hunt, fish, and act as stewards of the land and water.
The museum personnel recommends allowing at least 3 hours to tour and visit both the wildlife museums and aquarium. The museum contains 350,00 square feet of exhibit area and the aquarium features 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds, representing more than 800 different species. There is a charge for visiting the museum and aquarium, but we are working on special pricing for World Show attendees. You can also arrive a day early or leave a day later, but you should not miss this world-class venue.
LOCATION!
The Springfield, Missouri area is easy to get to, with about two-thirds of the nation’s taxidermists living within a one-day’s drive. We feel the venue is a perfect fit for the greatest taxidermy and fish carving exhibition on earth.
