Don't Miss the 1999 World Fish Carving Championships!

Record-numbers of fish carvers are already making travel plans to attend the 1999 World Fish Carving Championships. From all reports, this show will set a new record for attendance and competition entries. Whether you're new to fish carving or a seasoned pro, The 1999 World Shows offers valuable educational and networking opportunities for all fish carving levels.

Because of this growth, the 1999 WFCC has acquired convention facilities at the Holiday Inn East, located only a few feet away from the Crowne Plaza. This includes the competition arena as well as a fish carving trade show. The public will be invited to buy from these companies during the entire show, in addition to viewing the competition entries. Details pertaining to the carving trade show had not been finalized as of yet.

Three World Titles will be available at the 1999 World Fish Carving Championships. Previous shows awarded one World Title, selected from all Open Division first places. Beginning in 1999, World Titles will be awarded for Best Decorative Lifesize, Best Decorative Miniature, and Best Natural Finish.

• Six seminars by leading industry experts, which will cover every facet of fish carving.
• The world's largest fish carving competitions. (At the last World Show there were 96 fish carving entries. This record should be surpassed in 1999.) It's great fun if you enter, but if you don't, just viewing it is an experience you will long remember.
• The fish carving show will feature suppliers and artists booths from some of the nation's leading wildlife artists. (This will be held in its own facility, the Holiday Inn East, next to the Crowne Plaza.)
• The climax of the event is the 1999 World Show Awards Banquet, where over $2,500.00 in cash prizes will be awarded to fish carving winners.
